Day 1

Arrive in Catalonia

Fly from Manchester to Barcelona, where you'll be met and transferred to the gay owned B&B near Sitges where we have exclusive use of the facilities for our stay.

Settle in, unpack, grab a drink by the pool and meet the rest of the group.

That evening we'll have welcome drinks and dinner together before the weekend properly begins.

Day 2

Cava, vineyards & Sitges

Today is all about getting behind the bottle.

We'll visit a major Cava producer before spending time with a smaller independent producer, where we'll meet the people behind the wine and get a more personal insight into the region.

Then we'll sit down together for a long lunch with local food, Cava and wine.

After lunch, there's time to head back to the B&B, swim, relax, sunbathe or simply do absolutely nothing.

Later, we'll head into Sitges for dinner, drinks and an evening together.

And because the transport is arranged for us, nobody needs to worry about getting home.

Day 3

Wine, Roman history & a toga party

We head south for a day combining two very different sides of Catalonia.

We'll visit a local winery in the Tarragona region, taste the wines and enjoy lunch before heading into Tarragona itself.

We’ll visit to Augustus Forum, including their Gastronomic Visit, followed by a guided visit of Roman Tarragona in English. We'll explore its Roman remains and discover the history of the city.

Then we'll head back to the B&B, where there's time to relax and get ready for the evening.

Because we're not quite finished yet.

The Toga Party

Back at the villa, we'll get together for a Roman inspired toga party.

Food. Cava. Music. Wine. Good company.

And, naturally, togas.

It's deliberately a little ridiculous.

It's also likely to be one of those evenings that gets talked about long after everyone has gone home.

Day 4

One last breakfast

Breakfast, a final coffee by the pool and then our transfer back to Barcelona Airport.

Four days, three nights and hopefully a rather good collection of new stories.

Why this isn't just another weekend in Sitges

You could book a cheap flight, find a hotel in Sitges and spend a few days drinking in the bars.

You could also book yourself onto a wine tour.

That's not what this is.

The difference is the access.

You're travelling with a small group and being introduced to people through local relationships. You're meeting winemakers rather than simply visiting wineries. You're eating together rather than following a restaurant itinerary. You're being looked after by people who know the area, rather than trying to work everything out when you arrive.

It's less off the shelf tour and more being welcomed into someone else's Catalonia.

That's what makes it difficult to replicate.

Small by design

We're keeping this to 8 to 10 people maximum.

It means we can actually sit around the same table, get to know each other, move around easily and make the most of the places we're visiting.

It's a weekend with a group, without feeling like you've joined a coach tour.

And nothing is compulsory.

Fancy joining every wine tasting? Great.

Want to spend an afternoon beside the pool instead? Also great.

The structure is there to make the weekend easy. What you do with it is up to you.

Everything else is being brought together for the group.

Accommodation, transfers, experiences, meals and local introductions will be arranged in advance, and we'll be looked after by our contacts in Catalonia throughout the weekend.

You won't be handed a clipboard and told to meet at 7.15am.

This is supposed to feel like a weekend away.
